Cannon Wharf, formally Greenland Place, is a 3.5-hectare mixed-use development in the Surrey Quays area of Lewisham. The development included 679 new homes alongside various commercial uses and areas of landscape, including a ground level garden, a podium garden, and a green entrance way.
Townshend Landscape Architects developed the design of the landscape from concept through to delivery.
The design sought to make the landscape as lush and green as possible. A series of landscape spaces were created, each with individual identities, to reinforce a sense of place for the development and to help to create an identifiable neighbourhood.
