Claremont Park and Temporary Visitor Centre Opens!

Claremont Park is a new neighbourhood park for Brent Cross Town and the local area, repurposing part of the existing Claremont Way Open Space. The aspirations for the park were that it be a flexible space promoting health and wellbeing, encouraging social interaction, improving connectivity and being accessible to all for play, leisure, exercise, and sport.

Planting has been designed for animals and insects as well as people, with a high diversity for wildlife habitats. Over 300 trees were planted, predominantly UK native species. Level changes in the park provide excellent slopes for play, social spaces, and amphitheatres. There is a large pond at the heart of the park, with swale on one edge and a deck to allow proximity to water. The play area was designed by Erect Architecture and is for children of all ages and abilities.
